Whispers of the Forest

The Ogham alphabet emerged during the early medieval period in Ireland and Wales, representing the first known Celtic script. Unlike linear alphabets, Ogham consists of notches carved along a central stem-line, creating a vertical writing system that mirrors the growth of trees.

Each of the 20 primary symbols (feda) corresponds to a tree or plant native to the Celtic lands, from the pioneering Birch to the eternal Yew. These associations carry layers of meaning, including phonetic values, seasonal cycles, and spiritual attributes that have guided Celtic wisdom for centuries.
